At Lourish we don't just care about what the food we eat tastes like, we care about where it's from
Lourish connects the people who are producing their own food with local people who want to share what they produce
We believe that the best food in the world comes from the allotments and gardens of grow-your-own gardeners and private smallholders and that local growing is the key to affordable, sustainable food for everyone.
We created the Lourish exchange so you can swap your produce with other Lourish members near you to reduce waste, cut food miles and make the most of what you grow.
By trading or giving away what they produce, Lourish members can create a hyperlocal, super-fresh, extra-tasty, home-grown, zero-food mile supply of food which saves money and the environment.
Lourish in the media
See what others have to say
Since our launch, Lourish has been on Radio, TV and in the papers! Here are some of the articles about us:
- BBC News - Swapping not shopping for vegetables
- Cambridge News - Swap shop for veg is Dave's natural Selection
- igrowveg - Share Your Own Veg with the Lourish.com Community
Other media appearances for ITV News and BBC Radio are sadly no longer available online.
We love hearing from you
